Theme: Approaching the Cross through a Posture of Listening Prayer

As I continue to read through the gospel of Luke, through the season of Lent - I continue to see the themes of Spiritual Formation (up), Community (in) and being Sent (out). I specifically see this at the end of chapter 10 - and beginning of 11. It seems Luke is teaching on how to be more like Mary -- and the need for the God Lover to sit at Jesus feet and listen. Jesus then teaches his disciples to pray. I don't think it is a coincidence that Luke recorded the teaching of the Lord's prayer after teaching on the posture of listening.

This FWG we will revisit what it means to be formed by God (up) through listening prayer.
