FWG 7pm Sunday @ 1800 Boston St.
We hope many of you will be able to join us for another weekly Family Worship Gathering to share in formative worship (up), trusted community (in) and to encourage each other to be faithfully present in the places we live, work and play (out).
We really hope you can make it! Give us a heads up whether you can or can't come by filling out this RSVP.
Theme: Sent Out
After spending time last week sharing more about our home-town crowds, pressures we face, and processing our identities with each other - we are going to shift outward - toward what it means to be a faithful presence in the places we live, work, and play.
To do so, we will be looking at Luke 9 & 10: Jesus first sends out his 12 disciples. Then a chapter later he appoints 72 to go into homes declaring peace. If there is a person of peace in the home then there is this mysterious passing of peace that happens - then they are told to stay and share life and hospitality. Check it out here and use some cool bible study language tools.
We'll be trying out a new participative worship song this Sunday. Feel free to bring some instruments!
But For You Who Fear My Name (The Welcome Wagon)
Album Version | Family Worship Gathering Version
Lyrics are here.
Here are a few verses in the song
Malachi 4:2: But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Malachi 3:17 "They will be Mine... on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
- Please keep a close friend of PJ's in your prayers as he passed away just a few days ago.
- Also, keep Alice Richards and her family in your prayers too as her sister passed away in California.
- Lastly, keep Don and Jean's brother in law in your prayers as he faces this diagnosis of cancer.
